Organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Hong Kong and funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the Jockey Club “Peace and Awareness” Mindfulness Culture in Schools Initiative (JC PandA) invited director Yan Yan Mak, and teamed up with seasoned actors Alan Luk, Lily Poon, and child actor Leona Li to produce a short titled “I have arrived”. The short support parents to rethink how they interact with their children, aiming to improve parent-child relationships and the emotional well-being of all family members. “I have arrived” won several awards at the Independent Short Awards (LA/US), including Best Foreign-Language Short of the Season (Special Jury Award), Best Children Short, Best Original Story, and Best Female Director. Among the leading actors, Alan Luk and Leona Li won Best Actor and Best Child/Young Actress respectively.
