Training Pathway for Teaching Mindfulness Courses
Having completed an eight-week mindfulness course (e.g. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and .b Foundations) and developed a daily mindfulness practice routine of at least 20 minutes for at least 6 months, teachers and school professional helpers who aspire to teach mindfulness to students may attend the Teach .b and Teach Paws b courses. While Teach .b is a four-day training which prepares participants to teach the .b curriculum to secondary school students, Teach Paws b is a three-day training which prepares participants to teach the Paws b curriculum to primary school students. These courses are offered annually by the JC PandA. Upon completion of these courses, teachers and school professional helpers are qualified to teach .b or Paws b to their students.
