Cluster Leader: Professor Clifton Emery
This cluster explores the rapid changes in families in Asia and seeks to understand how these changes shape child development. Researchers in the Children and Family cluster focus on a broad range of phenomena highly relevant to policymakers, institutional decision-makers, and professionals.
Our research influences policy and professional decision-making from government to individual clinicians helping clients cope with mental health or violence, and every level in between. What researchers in our cluster have in common is a commitment to bringing serious and sophisticated conceptualization, expert substantive knowledge, and rigorous methodological approaches to advancing knowledge about families and children.
