Challenges of Hybrid Organizations in Hong Kong: The Case of CFSC and Vital

It is not uncommon nowadays for nonprofit organizations (NPOs) to diversify their funding sources and become hybrid organizations. This e-Case highlights the governance challenges facing a hybrid organization (CFSC) and its profit-making business (Vital), arising from the competing institutional logics between nonprofit and commercial principles. This e-Case can be used to illustrate strategic management, social and institutional entrepreneurship for nonprofits as well as governance of hybrid organizations.
