In order to facilitate research postgraduate students to gain global research exposure and enhance their international research network and future job prospect, the Faculty of Social Sciences offers funding support to encourage research postgraduate students to undertake overseas learning experience on a voluntary basis.
Overseas learning experience, including exchange, attending short courses, lab attachment etc., could be covered by the funding support subject to mutual agreement between the student and supervisor.
Applicants should read the Regulations Governing Funding Support for Research Postgraduate Students for International Learning Experiences for details, and submit the application form to the Faculty Office, with endorsement from supervisor(s) and DRPC at least one month before the proposed departure date.
The funding will be reimbursed after submission of a summary of expenditure, original receipts, used boarding pass of flight/train, and a report on the learning experience endorsed by supervisor(s) and DRPC to the Faculty Office within 30 days for the reimbursement.
