JC A-Connect Movie Day
Children with ASD often face difficulties in social communication and emotional regulation. Therefore, their parents seldom bring them to public places for recreation. In light of this, JC A-Connect organised “JC A-Connect Movie Day” on December 22, 2024, inviting families with autistic children to watch the animated film “Mufasa: The Lion King” in the cinema.
A less stimulative cinema was created to avoid sensory overload of the children, including lower lighting effects and volume levels. Participants were also allowed to make noise and have body movements during the movie. This event served as a great opportunity for the families to enjoy the movie without concerns of disturbing others and a chance to relax.
