Jockey Club Autism Support Network
In view of the increasing number of students with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) in Hong Kong’s mainstream primary and secondary schools, The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust initiated the “JC A-Connect: Jockey Club Autism Support Network” (JC A-Connect) in 2015. The first of its kind in the city, to provide holistic support for children with ASD attending mainstream schools, and their parents.
Staring from the 2021/22 school year, the EDB has adopted this proven service model in all public primary and secondary schools. While JC A-Connect will continue to provide systematic training courses for parents of those children with suspected or diagnosed autism or developmental delay through family support services. The Programme has established an E-learning platform and network of a group of autism professionals, with also a series of public education activities to enable the general public to better understand people with ASD or other special learning needs.
Parents Zone
Caregiver skills training helps deepen your understanding of children with developmental disabilities or delays, so as to provide them with more useful and effective services, with regular updates on practical tips.
WHO’s Caregiver Skills Training (CST)
CST aims at helping parents of those 2 to 6-year-old children who are suspected or diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder or developmental delay to master communication and interactive skills. Brain development before 6 years old matters and impacts children’s ability to learn. Parents can apply the communication skills taught to interact with their children, letting them to learn step by step to participate in activities with and learn to pay attention to others.

COVID-19 anti-epidemic information
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, JC A-Connect NGO partners jointly prepared some anti-epidemic information and resources pack to provide support to students with ASD and their family to face difficulties.
