Established in 2002, The Hong Kong Jockey Club Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention is a multi-disciplinary and unique university-based research center in Southeast Asia. The centre has committed to generating, disseminating, and applying knowledge and skills in suicide prevention through research, training and resource production.
The Centre aims at developing effective preventive measures of suicide as well as building evidence-based indigenous working models through practitioner-researcher collaboration. It is the ultimate goal of the Centre to contribute to the formulation of social and health policies in dealing with the problem of suicide in a public health approach. |
