During this summer, we are offering more than 450 internship opportunities in Hong Kong and various locations around the world. Our internships are available with over 160 Community Partners. You will have the chance to participate in non-local internships in Australia, Canada, Japan, Chinese Mainland, New Zealand, Singapore, Slovakia, South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam.

The Psychology Field Placement Programme allows students to connect academic learning with real-world experience. Interns support community partners, observe professionals, and assist with various tasks and projects. Placements cover areas like clinical, educational, and organisational psychology, counselling, art and music therapy, and mental health awareness. Students may also help with SEN support, group sessions, social media, and mental health events. This programme broadens career perspectives and shows the practical applications of psychology training.

The GC@Home programme provides a pathway for students to achieve global learning via internship placement in Hong Kong. Students have the opportunity to work with international NGOs and/or local partners in Hong Kong to address global issues, such as migrant workers, refugees, global poverty, and ethnic minorities, with local engagement.
The Global Bay Areas Impact Lab is a multifaceted experiential learning programme that connects the world’s largest Bay Areas through social innovation. Students will engage in internships, cross‑cultural collaboration, and field trips to tackle real‑world challenges, develop impactful solutions, and expand their professional networks.
*Orientation Week: Participate in workshops at Sun Yat-sen University for foundational insights into social innovation and GBA’s diverse development. Visit top social impact organisations in GBA.
GloCal Projects provide project-based/cross-disciplinary learning opportunities to work with international NGOs and/or local Community Partners addressing global issues with local engagement. In the past, we worked on issues such as human trafficking in Nepal, fair trade issues with tea pluckers in Sri Lanka and coffee farmers in Indonesia, and quality education issues in Vietnam by building libraries, swimming pools, toilets and classrooms in the rural areas. In the summer of 2026, we will work with schools in Vietnam and Nepal to engage with the local community by conducting needs assessments and offering quality education programmes.
