Applications are invited for appointment as Part-time Executive Officer/ Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk II) in the Centre for Water Technology and Policy to commence in late April 2023, for 4 months on temporary basis.
The Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Engineering, in collaboration, have jointly established the Centre for Water Technology and Policy to conduct cutting-edge research on water science, technology and policy issues relating to the broader urban sustainability agenda. The Centre is dedicated to pursuing excellence in research and teaching on water policy-technology interface issues, and to reaching out to the larger community to stimulate discussion on salient research findings.
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree, with at least 2 years’ work experience in a tertiary institution. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills; and IT proficiency. Experience in preparing budget plans and financial reports for projects would be a strong advantage.
The appointee will provide general administrative support to the Centre, including HR matters, e-procurement, reimbursement claims, updating of the Centre’s website and/or social media page, and answering inquiries. He/She will provide secretarial support for meetings; provide logistics support for events, such as seminars and workshops; and perform other duties as assigned. He/ She is expected to work for 2 to 3 days a week.
