The programme theme “Youth, Citizenship and Cyberspace” is designed for participants to explore cyber society and internet addiction from social, political and psychological perspectives. With the support of the Departments of Geography, Politics and Public Administration, Psychology, Social Work and Social Administration, Sociology and Journalism and Media Studies Centre to organize forums, lectures, fieldtrips and team projects, participants will be stimulated and encouraged to learn more about the underlying causes and impact of cyber communication and mental health. They will also be inspired to develop their own views on social issues.

Outdoor activities including visit to Commercial Crime Bureau, green school roof and cyber outreaching. On the last day of the programme, students are required to complete a group project and make a presentation at an open forum, which parents and teachers are welcome to join.

A highlight of the programme, the high table dinner will be a chance for participants, their parents/family members and special guests to gather and share the experience they gained. Each student will receive a certificate of attendance upon successful completion of the programme.

Professors will provide advice on project presentation. Students will be divided into groups and each group will be mentored by current University students.

Eligibility
Local, mainland and overseas Form 5 to Form 7 (or equivalent level) students are welcome.
