The partner schools have yet to be finalised with our local collaborators. Nevertheless, it looks highly likely that MOEI Laos will create opportunities for some students to live in remote rural communities during their placements. These placements will involve a homestay and allow students to immerse themselves in the local culture. Other placements, perhaps a majority, will be based in large towns and big cities, enabling students to work in local communities, live in guest houses and enjoy the best of both worlds. One thing is certain – wherever students work, they will have an extremely memorable experience and be able to plant the seeds for future MOEI programmes.
