IV. SCHOOL’S UNDERTAKING

(“the School”) will participate in the JC PandA Project (“Project”) as one of the affiliated schools, with following commitments:
    1. The school will form and maintain a core group of five to six members;
    2. The school will send school staff to attend an eight-week mindfulness course organised by the HKU team or other recognised organisations as the pre-requisite of the mindfulness teacher training;
    3. The school will send eligible school staff to attend a three- or four-day mindfulness teacher training, and allow them to teach Paws b to primary school students or .b to secondary school students;
    4. The school will facilitate trained school staff to teach Paws b or .b courses as part of the social emotional curriculum to at least one grade in the school for the following three years after they have completed the training;
    5. The trained school staff will participate in regular practice sessions and supervision meetings organised by the HKU team;
    6. Other than implementing mindfulness courses, the school will work with the HKU team to experiment ways to develop mindfulness culture in school, such as integrating mindfulness into various subjects, making use of the PandA mobile app, and attending seminars hosted by the Project; and
    7. The school will collaborate with the HKU team in the research of the effectiveness of mindfulness.
