JC A-Connect was invited by the Hong Kong Tourism Board to participate in 2022 Hong Kong WinterFest in West Kowloon Cultural District during Christmas. We set up a lodge at the Christmas Wonderland to promote social inclusion and celebrate the festive season with the general public. <\/p>\n

Interactive Game<\/h2>\n

An interactive game “Giant Bling Bling Chess Game” was installed in the lodge for the public to enjoy during the holidays. In the game, participants could get to know the project ambassador, Bling Bling, and learn the characteristics of people with ASD.
\nAfter completing the game, splendid prizes and photo opportunity with Bling Bling would be rewarded to the participants.<\/p>\n

Parent-child Craft-making Workshops<\/h2>\n

27 sessions of parent-child craft-making workshops, including Bling Bling Emotions Wand, Bling Bling Fidget Doll, Bling Bling Christmas Wreath and Bling Bling Christmas Globe were organised for the event. The instructor taught the participants to make small handicrafts and explained the needs of people with ASD, thus, parents and children could have a preliminary understanding of ASD.<\/p>\n

\u201cHello! New Friends!\u201d Drama Performances<\/h2>\n

There were 3 sessions of “Hello! New Friends!\u201d drama performances held on the stage of Christmas Wonderland. Apart from telling the story in a captivating way, clown actors played games with the children enjoying the show and distributed storybooks and souvenirs.<\/p>\n
