Faculty Level Exchange Programmes [Exchange-out]
     
Introduction
In addition to the HKU Worldwide Exchange Programme (HKUWW) organized by the International Affairs Office (IAO), the Faculty has established faculty-level exchange programmes with universities in Mainland China and overseas to broaden students' exposure and facilitate cultural exchange. Each year, more than 120 students benefit from the exchange programmes. 		  globe
   
Eligibility
Participants must be full-time undergraduate students in the Faculty of Social Sciences who have successfully completed at least two semesters of study upon admission to the host institution. Participants must be students of good academic standing at the home institution with a minimum “B” average grade; or must have obtained a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

1. Participants will continue to pay their usual tuition fees to HKU while being responsible for all other expenses during their stay at the host institution. Important Notes
2. It is the participant's responsibility to obtain the necessary approval for leave of absence and credit transfer before departure. Participants should apply to the Dean for permission to be away in accordance with General Regulation G8, and seek prior approval from Faculty Office on credit transfer.
3. Participants are required to select not fewer than 24 nor more than 36 HKU-equivalent credits of courses in any one semester.
4. At least 50% of the credits for fulfilling a major (excluding the fulfilment of Social Innovation and Global Citizenship)/ minor programme requirement must be taken at HKU.  
5 The host institution will assist participants in finding accommodation in the host city.
