Biographies
Dr. Zou Xiaobing
Dr. Zou is the founder and has been the Director of the Child Developmental-Behavioral Center (CDBC) for more than 17 years. CDBC is recognized as the first medical diagnosis and intervention center for ASD and other developmental disabilities in China. Dr. Zou is also the director of the Pediatrics department at Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University (SYSU) in Guangzhou. Dr. Zou is very committed to improve medical care professionalism and public welfare for children with ASD. He is a well-recognized clinician, and has been taking the national academic leadership in medical practice for children with ASD. His research focus falls on early diagnosis and behavioral intervention strategies for children on the spectrum. Dr. Zou also emphasizes the importance of individualized educational approaches according to each children’s unique temperaments. He has been an active advocate for children with special needs through social media and published over a hundred articles over the years.
Dr. Sung Min
Dr. Sung is a Senior Consultant at the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Institute of Mental Health (Singapore) where she is the Program Director of the Neuro-Behavioural Clinic (Autism Services and ADHD Services). She is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. She obtained her Master of Medicine (Psychiatry) from the School of Postgraduate Medicine (National University of Singapore) and obtained her Advanced Specialist Training in Psychiatry in 2004. In 2005, Dr. Sung received the Healthcare Manpower Development Plan Fellowship Award and was attached to the Autism and Related Disorders Team at the Michael Rutter Centre for Children and Young People at the Institute of Psychiatry, United Kingdom. Dr. Sung is involved in research projects on the clinical aspects of Autism Spectrum Disorders. She is an Independent Trainer in the Autism Diagnostic Interview- Revised and the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule.
Dr. Sandra Tsang Kit-man
Dr. Tsang is an Associate Professor of the Department of Social Work and Social Administration of The University of Hong Kong. She is a Registered Clinical Psychologist, a Fellow of the Hong Kong Psychological Society and the Hong Kong Professional Counselling Association, and a Registered Social Worker. Her research, publications and media profile focus on parent education, children with special educational needs, children and youth development and drug prevention. She was awarded the HKU Teaching Fellowship for outstanding teaching, the Chief Executive’s Commendation for Community Services, and the 2011 Medal of the Hong Kong Paediatrics Society for contributions in Child Health. She is a current member of the Equal Opportunities Commission, Nursing Council, Public Libraries Advisory Committee, and Barrister Disciplinary Tribunal Panel.
