You are cordially invited to the HKU Faculty of Social Sciences JUPAS Orientation Day to be held on May 15, 2004 (Saturday) from 9:45 am to 1:30pm at Meng Wah Complex (明華綜合大樓) , HKU.

Our Faculty currently offers five undergraduate programmes including BSocSc(General), BCogSc, BSocSc(Govt&Laws), BSW and BJ. The Social Science curricula at HKU provide a strong academic foundation to prepare students for leadership position by equipping them with the knowledge to understand the rapid social, political and economic changes around us.

Since the academic year 2002-2003, the Faculty has redeveloped its undergraduate curricula. The new curricula are designed to promote multidisciplinary learning and strengthen the analytical abilities and communication skills of our students. One key part of the new curricula is our newly launched Social Exposure Programme which will allow our students to put their academic knowledge to practice through internships and projects.

The Social Sciences Orientation Day offers you an opportunity to interact with our teaching staff and students and learn more about how we seek to understand human societies at HKU and our new curricula through talks, sharing with current students and departmental activities.
